Your Rep. not on this list? Then she/he capitulated to the Republicans and the Telecom companies. I noticed some Blue Majority candidates also voting for the bill. Here again is the link to the roll call.

Just wanted to point out the good Dems amidst all the justified outrage.

UPDATE:

Thank you for putting this on the rec list.

The one nay vote I'm most happy about is Donna Edwards. She was only sworn in yesterday and this was one of her first votes. I guess it's a pretty safe bet that Al Wynn would have voted for this bill had he not be challenged in a primary. The first result of voting for and supporting better Democrats!

What I just wondered was whether or not this vote went along ideological lines, so I went through the membership rosters of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and Blue Dog Democrats. Here's what I found:

Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus voting for the FISA bill, disappointing us today:

Emanuel Cleaver (Vice Chair of the CPC)
Corrine Brown
Luis Gutierrez
Laura Richardson

Members of the Blue Dog Democrats voting against the FISA bill, positively surprising us today:

Baron Hill
Steve Israel
Mike Michaud
Loretta Sanchez

Mostly, this actually was along ideolical lines within the Democratic caucus. The four "Progressives" are disappointing but I'm very happy about the four Blue Dogs voting the right way today.
